GG (Grey Girl)

GG must have discovered the "X" on the side of the house that denotes a cat person and a place that would take in a sweet (mostly) abandoned kitty.

I heard a commotion at the window caused by , looked out and saw a fluffy grey shape in the flower bed, soaking up the spring sunshine.  I went out to talk to her ... she let me stroke her soft grey fur.  I already had enough cats I thought to myself...I left her to enjoy the sun (and the catnip that was planted there) and went back inside.  I looked out a bit later and she was gone.  Back home, I thought, and wished her people wouldn't let her out.  It's dangerous out there for little cats!

The next afternoon, there she was again...and the day after that.  The weather was starting toward late fall...winter and cold couldn't be too far off.  Not a good outlook for a sweet little stray.  I took a deep breath, told the others they were about to have a new playmate and went out to rescue her.  She didn't cooperate...she decided she liked the warm sun and the catnip and scurried behind a shrub.  We finally came to an agreement and she let me pick her up and bring her inside.

I don't believe she'd been a stray for to long as her long fur wasn't matted. She requires frequent  brushing, still loves catnip and has begun to accept Pitzie...mostly.  She's about 11 now...and still thinks she's a kitten, specially after a "nip".  She stays near be all the time, sleeping on the computer top, or on the nice warm laser printer.  (getting fur out of the works is a daily chore).  She makes my house a home.
